Moving in Lok Sabha the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill 2019, and the resolution revoking Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir Union Home Minister Amit Shah said in Lok Sabha that Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Aksai Chin are part of Jammu and Kashmir and that Kashmir Valley is an integral part of the country.
“I want to make it very clear that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral and inseparable part of India. There is absolutely no doubt over it, and there is no legal dispute on this,” said Amit Shah. The Parliament has the right to make laws on Jammu & Kashmir, he added. He was responding to congress’s statement that the central government has violated all rules and converted a state into a Union Territory.
“I don’t think you are thinking about PoK, you violated all rules and converted a state into a Union Territory overnight”, said Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury of Congress. The Congress has Shashi Tharoor and Manish Tewari as speakers on J&K Reorganisation Bill, in Lok Sabha. Meanwhile, reports indicate that there is a strong split among the leaders on the Article 370 row.
