With rapidly rising cases of COVID 19 being reported from the country, Myanmar has overtaken China in terms of total number of COVID 19 cases. As per the latest figures of the Ministry of Health and Sports on Wednesday, Myanmar reported 1411 new Corona positive cases taking the total to 93,600. It also reported 26 deaths taking the death toll to 1998 in the country.
Myanmar now stands at 68th position among the countries with the largest number of Corona Positive cases. China, on the other hand is on the 72nd position with 86,651 COVID 19 cases.
The Ministry of Health and Sports has urged citizens to stay home for two weeks from November 21 to December 5.
The country has further extended the COVID 19 restrictions till December 15. Restrictions on domestic and international flights have also been extended till December 31.
