Mizoram Governor Adv. PS Sreedharan Pillai on Thursday launched Indus Scrolls group’s exclusive Malayalam news portal indusscrolls.in through online from the Raj Bhavan in Aizwal. The governor congratulated the journalists behind the venture and wished the group all success.
So far, Malayalam news was a subsection in its English news portal indusscrolls.com, launched in August 2017. The group decided to venture into Malayalam news space after its reportage evoked good reader response. In the short span of time, Indus Scrolls has managed to carve a space for itself in the digital media space through its unique content and presentation.
Indus Scrolls had launched its publication arm – Indus Scrolls Press — in June 2019. It has already published 13 books, including best seller Hindutva for the Changing Times, authored by National Convenor of Prajna Pravah J Nandakumar. Seven books, including a collection of poems, Oh Mizoram, written by Governor Sreedharan Pillai, will be released by July-end.
Besides, Indus Scrolls has launched a philanthropic initiative called Kanya Vidya Pratishtan to support education of girl children from deprived sections of the society. Through this initiative, Indus Scrolls provided study materials for several girl students.
