A complaint has been filed against Muslim League workers for beating up a family in Kanhangad, reports Mathrubhumi.
The incident took place on the day of vote counting when a group of Muslim League workers attacked the family claiming that they did not vote for the party.
The incident happened near Kalluravi region of Kanhangad panchayat. This region is a Muslim League stronghold. The outside world came to know about this once the video of the incident was circulated online.
The video was shot by the attackers themselves. It was shared in some of their WhatsApp groups.
The family was attacked alleging that they did not vote for Muslim League. However, the family was not ready to file a complaint. Hence, LDF workers filed a complaint with the Hosdurg police station. The attackers have been identified.
