Pothencode in Thiruvananthapuram had recently witnessed a gang of goons brutally murdering a youth over rivalry. Now, the region has once again witnessed an atrocity by a gang of goons. A man and his 17-year-old daughter were stopped and assaulted by a gang of goons for not providing side for their car.
The gang even tried to grope the girl. The girl escaped from the gang by running away from the car to a nearby restaurant. The gang left the area after people gathered in the area.The incident took place at around 8.30 pm on Wednesday.
Venjarammoodu native Shah and his daughter were attacked by the gang near the police station. Police are yet to arrest anyone in connection with the incident. Meanwhile, police said that the car abandoned by the gang was taken into custody.
The attack was led by Faisal, who is accused in several cases, including the Pallippuram gold robbery case. According to witnesses, the gang got out of their car and attacked Shah for not giving side for their car. When Shah’s daughter tried to stop them, they tried to assault her as well. She was beaten by a member of the gang. Though several persons had witnessed the incident, no one intervened after realising that they were goons.
