Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said Union Government is committed to provide health facilities to all people across the country. He stated the Union Government’s aim is to create AIIMS like a health facility in every state. He was addressing the second convocation ceremony of AIIMS Rishikesh in Dehradun today.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, the Union Government has provided health facility to 130 crore people, which is unprecedented. He stated the Union Government has created 29 thousand medical seats across the county, under the vision Health for All. Emphasizing on adequate infrastructure he said, proper medical facility to all cannot be dreamed without infrastructure.
He further said that the union government is focusing that every village of the country should have one doctor whereas one Post Graduate doctor should be available at Tehsil level. On this occasion, he also spoke about Central health schemes running in the states. During the convocation, 250 students were conferred with degrees whereas 132 students awarded a certificate. In view of the Coronavirus threat, thermal screening was also being carried out for invitees attending the convocation ceremony.
