Shiva as we know him today shares many features with Rudra, and Shiva and Rudra are viewed as the same personality in Hindu scriptures. The two names are used synonymously. Shiv Gayatri mantra

“Om Tatpurushaya Vidmahe Maha Devaya Dheemahi Tannoh Rudrah Prachodayat”

Meaning:
Oh merciful Lord Mahadev, kindly forgive me for the sins committed through my hands and feet, body and through actions. Pardon the sins committed through the ears, eyes and mind, knowingly or unknowingly.

Mahamrityunjaya mantra

“Om Tryambakam Yajamahe Sugandhim Pushti Vardhanam Urvarukamiva Bandhanath Mrityormukshiya Mamritat”

Meaning:
This is the ultimate mantra to escape the fear of death. The mantra prays Lord Shiva and says, “Oh the three-eyed Lord, you are the master of the universe and filled with a divine fragrance. You are the one who distributes nourishment to all beings. As the ripe cucumber is released automatically from its mother plant, relieve me from the fear of death and lead me to immortality.
