In the wake of an aggressive anti-terror campaign launched by Indian security forces, a terrorist linked with Lashkar-e-Tayyeba (LeT) was arrested in Jammu & Kashmir on Saturday. In the searches, the forces busted a terror hideout in Budgam and recovered arms and ammunitions from his possession. Besides, the security forces have also arrested four more terrorist associates from Budgam and recovered incriminating materials from them.
According to security forces, Zaroor Wani, a terror facilitator, used to provide logistical support to terrorists. He also used to provide the hideout and local transport to terrorists on terror mission. The hideout busted in Arizal village was found a few hundred metres from his house. The police have registered a case against Wani.
In a statement, the police said: “One hideout busted in Arizal Khansaib, Budgam and a top Over Groud Worker of LeT, namely Zahoor Wani was arrested. Arms and ammunition recovered from his possession. More arrests and recoveries are expected.”
