Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay a two-day visit to Karnataka on January 2nd and 3rd. On the first day of his tour, the Prime Minister will take part in the Krishi award function in Tumkuru Junior College grounds. He will hand over Krishi Karman Award to 21 states that have recorded good agriculture production in various categories during the previous crop seasons.
The Prime Minister will also release funds to eight crore farmers across the country under PM Krishi Samman yojana for the period December-February. In the evening same day, the Prime Minister will visit the Defence Research and Development Organisation.
Next day morning, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the 107th National Science Congress in the University of Agricultural Sciences in Bengaluru. He will present various awards constituted by the Indian Science Congress Association. The focal theme of the Science conference in this edition is Science and Technology: Rural Development.
