As time has changed a lot, even Tantric learning is held via online these days. ‘Ganapathi Homam’, the ritual which was once accessible to only the Brahmin community and was learnt directly from the master, is now taught via online. People of all communities can learn the ritual through online method.
The disciples can see their master through the mobile screen for an hour. They can clarify doubts for 20 minutes. Course can be completed within a month. After this, the disciple has to perform Ganapathi Homam at their residence and show online. Once its report is submitted, the candidate can become a professional in Ganapathi Homam.
Only interest to learn the ritual is considered as eligibility criteria. When Shreshtachara Sabha headquartered in Kozhikode put up an advertisement through Facebook, 418 candidates enrolled for the course. Classes started already.
The Sabha has been conducting classes about temple rituals for about 30 years. But they are organising the online class for Ganapathi Homam the first time. Rs 100 is collected as registration fee. However, many people registered for this.
The course does not have any fixed fee. The disciple can give an amount of their choice to the Master as Dakshina (remuneration). There is no issue even if nothing is paid. Remuneration also is paid via online. Apart from this, Hindu rituals for nuptial ceremony and funeral also is taught through online method. Many candidates have enrolled for these courses too.
