Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope has said that three people succumbed to novel coronavirus and 33 fresh cases of the disease were registered in the state yesterday. The total number of affected people in the state now stands at 335. Out of the 33 new cases, 30 are from Mumbai, two from Pune and one from Buldhana in Vidarbha region.
Out of three deaths registered yesterday in Maharashtra two are from Mumbai and one from Palghar district. The three deceased are all males aged 75, 51 and 50 years. All three did not have any travel history. With the three death, the total number of death count has risen to 13.
District wise list of Corona affected people in the state includes Mumbai -181, Pune- 50, Sangli- 25, Thane-36, Nagpur-16, Yavatmal-4, Ahmednagar- 8, Buldana-4, two each in Satara, Kohlapur and one each in Aurangabad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Gondia, Jalgaon and Nashik. The Minister said total 705 people are kept in various hospitals in the state.
Out of 6456 people tested for the virus, 322 tested positive. 42 people have been cured so far. Total number of 24818 people have been home quarantined while 1828 people have been quarantined in institutions.
