Kerala CM blamed ‘some doctors’ for exposing grave negligence of government hospitals in the state. Repeating his famed justfication he said that the Kerala society has ‘realised’ that the controversy regarding Kalamassery Medical College is baseless, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said.
He added that the government has noticed isolated efforts from several doctors to make it appear that everything is out of control. Such actions will be taken seriously. He was responding to questions regarding the controversies regarding Kalamassery Medical College while addressing the media after the coronavirus review meeting on Thursday.
Kochi Medical College has done a good job in coronavirus prevention activities so far. The issues started after a misleading post came out. People there stated with clear evidence that the allegations were baseless. Even those who are waiting for an opportunity to blame the government publicly said that the allegations raised were not technically right, he said.
The society has realised that the allegations are not true. But some are trying to spread wrong news. It is unfortunate that some have come forward with such intent. It should not have happened, the CM said.
Pinarayi Vijayan stated that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi appreciated Kerala’s COVID prevention activities. Rahul Gandhi sees and understands the virus prevention activities across the country. It is based on the experience from different states that he appreciated Kerala’s efforts. That is a normal reaction. If the opposition leader disagrees with it or not is a matter between the two of them. I am not going to comment on that, the CM added.
