Former BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan said that Kerala is becoming a haven for terrorists. He said in a Facebook post that the state government should stop taking a lenient approach towards terrorists and take strict action.
” It is impossible to imagine the extent to which Kerala has become a safe hub for terrorists since the NIA’s capture of three Al-Qaeda terrorists from Perumbavoor. The government should at least abandon its soft approach to terrorism. The police and government agencies must take strict action against terror activities. The impetus given to terror activities in Kerala to date is very worrying,” said Kummanam Rajasekharan.
He said that the favorable environment for terrorism in Kerala is due to the failure to take strong action in many previous terrorism cases. Terrorism can only be tackled through very effective drastic measures. Police are still unable to make a dent in many terrorism cases. Ruthless action must be taken against the extremist forces who are trying to create instability and unrest in Kerala by carrying out such activities very efficiently.
Kummanam said recent events prove that the intelligence services and other legal systems in Kerala are weak.
