Goa ready to welcome filmmakers for post lockdown movie shoots

The Entertainment Society of Goa on Sunday welcomed filmmakers to the coastal state after the Centre announced the standard operating procedures for resuming shooting of films and TV programmes.

Films and other shootings have already been permitted in the state since last week of June, Entertainment Society of Goa’s (ESG) Chief Executive Officer Amit Satija said.

Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar announced the standard operating procedures (SOP) for film and television programme shooting on Sunday.

Thermal screening at entry points, mandatory use of face covers/masks and physical distancing of six feet are among the new rules people working in the media production industry will have to adhere to as they resume work amid the coronavirus pandemic.
