Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has reiterated that Citizenship Amendment Act will not be implemented in Kerala. The Union Home Minister has stated that CAA will be implemented in the country after the COVID vaccination drive is completed. Kerala has already taken a stand on the matter, CM stated.
Certain people asked how can states not implement the Act. It will not be implemented, if we say that it will not be implemented. The Chief Minister was speaking after inaugurating theLDF rally near Uppala in Kasaragod district.
Certain people are trying to divert attention away from development works by instigating communalism in the state. Communalism is bad for the state and should be erased completely, the CM said.
RSS is the organisation that takes the most aggressive communal position. Other organisations such as SDPI adopt communal positions as if to confront RSS’s communalism. He also said that protecting the minorities can only be done by working with the Left front.
Today, Kerala has become a model for the entire country. That is because of the strength of the Left front. Jamaat Islami and SDPI are doing the same thing that RSS is doing. Both parties are strengthening communalism. It is because LDF opposes communalism that both these factions oppose LDF, he added.
Pinarayi Vijayan also criticised the Congress leaders for contributing to the BJP’ s agenda.
Meanwhile, the statement of the CM has invited stringent criticism from the state where the netizens reminded the CM that Kerala is not a republic. While CAA is applicable for the whole nation, the states have no right to intervene in the matter, wrote netizens under the news that appeared in online portals.
