The BJP Kerala faction has instructed study camps to work for the Assembly elections keeping in view the possibility of an LDF-NDA electoral fray in 2026, reports Mathrubhumi.
The state-district leadership in the study camps held in 140 Assembly constituencies has been asked to work towards this mission.
According to NDA, it is better that LDF gains another term in this election. They believe that if the UDF is defeated, many of the Congress allies will switch to BJP.
BJP was able to weaken the Congress in Karnataka, Tripura and West Bengal and this is seen as a major victory. BJP projected Congress-free slogan in all states expect Kerala and propagated that both CPM and Congress should be opposed equally here.
BJP claims that NDA obtained 31 lakh votes in the local body elections while LDF and UDF obtained 50 to 60 lakh votes. If they are able to further weaken the Congress, NDA might be able to gain 50 lakh votes in the 2026 Assembly elections, evaluates BJP.
