After two youths in Kannur district joined ISIS to wage jihad against ‘infidels’, a Kashmiri student studying at a university in Uttar Pradesh is suspected to have joined the terror outfit.
Ehatsham Bilal Sofi, a resident of Pulwama, who went missing for last two weeks, has been a first year student of graduation of Sharda University in Noida. Recently a photo of the youth holding an AK-47 on the backdrop of IS flag surfaced on the social media. The youth also released his audio video in which he was saying that he has joined the ISIS.
According to a media report, the youth had a fight with some Afgani students last Saturday and thereafter he was found missing. “The security personnel had found his mobile phone working till Sunday after he boarded a flight to Srinagar from Delhi. The family of Ehatsham also lodged an FIR with Knowledge Park police station in Noida,” the police officer said. A probe is underway after the matter came to the light.
