Thiruvananthapuram: 220 sheets of university answer sheets in 18 bundles were found from the house of Shivranjit the first accused in University College stabbing case. Apart from the additional answer sheets, the police have recovered the seal of a Physical Education official from the house of the accused. Reporters who reached the spot were manhandled by relatives of the accused.
The new developments have further paved the way for more investigations on the university as well as the PSC examinations that the accused has cleared successfully. Sivaranjith is the SFI unit president of University College. The house of Sivaranjith who is the SFI unit president of University college was inspected by Cantonment police.
The Special Branch has already started an investigation into charges that the SFI members were given special consideration and allotted University College itself as the centre for the Public Service Commission (PSC) exam for the police appointments. The PSC had published the rank list for appointments as police constables at KAP 4 Battalion at Kannur on July 1.
Meanwhile, former DGP T P Senkumar demanded the rank list be cancelled and a re-examination held after the murder accused became the toppers in the PSC exam. According to Senkumar, it was suspicious that the first accused in the murder case also came first in the rank list for police constables.
