Jaish-e-Muhammad chief Masood Azhar is a global terrorist, thanks to the Narendra Modi government’s persistent diplomatic initiatives.
The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) 1267 Al-Qaeda Sanctions Committee on May 1 listed Azhar as a “designated” global terrorist. China, which had imposed ‘technical hold’ on the proposal sponsored by the United States, United Kingdom and France, under international pressure changed its stance leading to declaration.
India stepped up its offensive after Jaish carried out a deadly terror attack on CRPF convoy that killed 40 personnel at Pulwama.
