11 people killed by rainstorms in Brazil

In Brazil, at least 11 people including two children were killed by rainstorms in the southeastern part of the country.

Civil Defense officials said today that two days of torrential rain in Minas Gerais state have also left seven people injured, 16 missing and more than 2,500 homeless followings a series of landslides and house collapses.

One year ago, 270 people were killed after a dam collapse in the same area in Minas Gerais state.
