UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will interact with a group of Kashmiri students from the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) at Chief Minister’s Office in Lucknow on September 28. According to media reports, the Chief Minister will discuss the abrogation of Article 370 with these students. “He will explain to them the advantages of the decision,” a government spokesman told a media outlet.
The meeting is aimed at dispelling confusion and misconceptions regarding the nullification of the controversial Constitutional provision. “The Chief Minister will not only clear misconceptions about the government’s decision, but will also explain to them as to how this will lead to the development and progress in the Valley,” the spokesman added.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has been undertaking a massive campaign to create awareness about the Centre’s decision to defang Article 370. The programme has been launched from Wednesday, which is also the birth anniversary of BJP ideologue Deen Dayal Upadhyaya.
