In a scathing attack on Pinarayi Vijayan led Kerala government, opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala termed the government’s action in approaching the court against the CBI probe into the Life Mission as an insult. Ramesh Chennithala said that the state government had earlier given permission to the CBI to probe violations of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA).
The allegation was made by the Leader of the Opposition on June 13, 2017, along with the documents of the government order granting permission for this.
CBI The government itself, which had given permission for the probe, has now approached the court against it. Chennithala said it was strange to approach the court against his own order and that it was a big blow to the government. In this case, the government withdrew the case from the CBI. He also demanded to co-operate with the investigation.
The corruption in the Life project has come out earlier. Now the CBI That is why the inquiry was opposed. The agreement on the Life project was made in the presence of the Chief Minister. Each step of the project is subject to the approval of the Chief Minister. Chennithala alleged that the government went to court against the CBI when it saw that the probe would move to the Chief Minister.
