“Sat Hasta Samahara, Sahasra Hasta Sankira”, meaning “Create wealth with 100 hands and share it with 1000 hands” defines the way our ancient Sanatan Dharma believed in doing business and trade. If one were to explore our ancient manuscripts to understand why only our Bharatiya Civilization survived till today, when all the other ancient civilizations have gone to dust, one would realize the wealth hidden in the above statement. Ours was not a rapacious civilization, which only thought about the ‘present’ or benefiting only the ‘self’, and that is why despite so many setbacks in modern times, we are still among the wealthiest civilization, both spiritually and materially.
Having said that, we cannot overlook or underestimate the grave threat we are facing from the present-day mode of doing business. Today, one with morals may be given respect, but it is one with power and financial muscle who defines and controls the business world. This is precisely why the New World Order which dictates terms to the way business is done in all countries may be secretly disliked, but they are obeyed. If Hindus truly want to have their voice of Dharma(not religion) heard and want to regain their space in the Sun, they have to become united and use their ancient wisdom to dictate the way business and trade should be done – to empower and uplift all of mankind, not just one race or country.
In the past, we have seen how Jews, Germans and Japanese networked intensely within their own community to rebuild their country and race, after the worst of disasters. From being a race which discovered and invented unlimitedly in the fields of metallurgy, trade, medicine, defense and more, Hindus today have majorly forgotten their talent for innovation and entrepreneurship and have downplayed their talents to restrict their aspirations of flying high. No doubt that Hindus today are facing problems from many quarters but the time has come for us to join hands and help each other and nurture the talent within us. A complete eco-system of support is the need of the hour.
The World Hindu Economic Forum (WHEF) is working towards being that supporting and nurturing eco-system. The same two hands which can be used for giving can also be used for lifting others up. WHEF aims to be these hands. Connectivity for resources, partnerships, know-how, opportunities – Hindus helping one another to become the best once more is now an achievable dream with the help of Hindu Economic Forum (HEF) and the WHEF at work.
To reach out to the innovators, businesspersons, bankers, industrialists, economists, thinkers and all, among the Hindu community, the WHEF is launching the HEF Mumbai in January 2018. “Accelerating the Economy of Bharat”, the topic covered by eminent speakers like Suresh Prabhu and Bibek Debroy, at the Bombay Stock Exchange, on January 20, 2018, will reintroduce Hindus to the age-old philosophy of Bharat – “Dharmasya Moolam Arthah” (Economy is the Strength). Come, participate, be a part of this movement to make India glorious once more, to make Hindus an economic super-power once more.
