Leftists of all shades – from Liberal Communists to hardcore Maoists – with active support and connivance of Islamist outfits and secessionist forces have been trying to create unrest in the country since 2014. Anarchists, Khan Market gang and andolanjeevis have been trying hard to build a narrative that the advent of the Narendra Modi government had pushed the country and its democracy down the drain. The Left ecosystem in the world over, academia and Western media also joined forces in building a fake atrocity narrative. First it was award wapasi campaign, later Dalit atrocities, cow lynching, Shaheen Baghs, etc. All these campaigns turned out to be storms in a tea cup.
The Left always had a problem with the idea of a united and strong Bharat. It had propounded the theory that Bharat is multi-national entity and wanted Bharat to be divided into several nations. The Communists had supported the two-nation theory of the Muslim League. The Communist Party of India had supported Razakars of Hyderabad who wanted to secede from Bharat.
More recently, the Leftists have came out in support of the Islamists who called for vivisection of Bharat. Remember the slogans reverberated on the campus of Jawaharlal Nehru University: Bharat tere tukde honge Insha Allah Insha Allah. The people who extended moral support to these elements were the Leftists who are now behind the ‘Dismantle Global Hindu’ conference. Some people associated with the programme were accused of having direct links with Maoists.
Their efforts are bound to fail as some institutions, which they claimed, support the initiative have distanced themselves from the event. Some universities have aired their reservations over misusing of their emblems by the organizers.
Hindu Dharma or Hindutva has weathered many onslaughts over the centuries and it has the resilience to face this also. Their real target is Hindu Dharma. But they target RSS because it is avowed to protect Hindu Dharma. To destroy Bharat, they have to destroy RSS.
In this context, I am reminded of former High Court judge Justice K T Thomas who said RSS is one of the four forces that keeps the country united. The other three are: Constitution, Judiciary and Army. “I can’t point out any other force that has the capability to keep the country united,” he said.
