The spirit of Holi, the festival of colours is such that it brings people from different communities together. Similar enthusiasm and unity was visible in Lagos, Nigeria, when the Indians living 8000km away from their home country gathered to celebrate Holi on March 4 (Sunday).

Around 150 Indian families staying in and around 1004 Estate, Victoria Island in Lagos assembled at a nearby park to celebrate Holi. In no time they were joined by other foreign nationals and local Nigerians.
There was an outburst of colours, dance, music and fun. People splashed coloured powder and water on each other. However it was a dance show put up by the Nigerians – dressed in colourful Indian attires – on various Bollywood numbers that added to the extravaganza and fun that the Holi festival stands for.
