In a befitting reply to Congress, Kerala CM today laughed at the promise of Kerala Pradesh Congress Party to bear the travel expenses of migrant labourers from the state saying people in the state very well know how it will be if the government let them cover their fares.
“It is better not to go into it,” CM said referring to the promise of Congress for bearing the travel expenses of migrant labourers. “People are very well aware of what it would be if we let them cover their expenses so,” Pinarayi Vijayan said.
The CM further said that the state government will not be paying anything against the travel of workers to their respective states. “The central government is expected to bear the cost of the ticket and the state government will not bear any cost,” the chief minister said.
Mr. Pinarayi Vijayan’s remarks come after Karnataka today agreeing to sponsor the train tickets for migrant labourers in the state after Congress offered Rupees 1 crore for the same. Karnataka CM further asked Congress that they can contribute the amount to CM’s relief fund.
