Vivekananda Kendra Delhi Branch celebrates Guru Purnima Festival

The Delhi Branch of Vivekananda Knedra, Kanyakumari celebrated the Guru Purnima Festival on Sunday,17,2022 at its Chanakyapuri Center. Shri Nikhil Yadav, Prant Yuva Pramukh of Vivekananda Kendra, Uttar Prant, informed us that the concluding program of the week-long Gurupurnima Utsav celebration was organized on Sunday. Prof. Praveen K Verma, Director, R&D, JNU and Professor, School of Life Sciences, JNU, participated as the Chief guest.

The youth volunteers studying in different colleges of Delhi University shared their experiences. During the week-long campaign, they greeted their teachers on the college campuses and informed them about the Youth Program Young India: Know Thyself, through which they came closer to the Indian way of thinking.

Prof. Verma, during his speech, guided the students through valuable stories in which he emphasized the tradition of “Guru Shishya Parampara.” The program was concluded with the prayer Sarve Bhavantu and Vivekananda Kendra Prarthana.

 

Another program was organized at the Community center, Railway Colony, Sarojini Nagar, in which Shri Manas Bhattacharjee, Prant Sangathank Vivekananda Kendra, Uttar Prant, interacted with the residents of the colony under the theme of Guru Purnima. Around 100 people were present at the event.
