Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have paid tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on his birth anniversary. In a tweet, Mr Naidu said, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was known for his courage, valor, warfare strategies, progressive outlook, respect for women and for his exemplary character. He said, the reign of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj exemplifies the pride of Indian History. The Vice President said, teaching the younger generation about the great qualities of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will be the best way to pay tributes to him.
In a tweet, Prime Minister said, he is bowing to one of the greatest sons of Mother India, the embodiment of courage, compassion and good governance, the exceptional Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on his Jayanti. Mr Modi said, Shivaji Maharaj’s life continues to motivate millions.
In his tributes, Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was a superior warrior and ideal king of the world. He said, even after centuries, people still get inspiration from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
