Member of the US House of Representatives Tulsi Gabbard will be the chief guest at World Hindu Congress (WHC) proposed to be held in Chicago, US, from September 7 to 9, marking 150th anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s famous speech at the Parliament of Religions held in the city. Tulsi Gabbard is the first Hindu member of the United States Congress.
The World Hindu Congress is a global platform for Hindus to connect, share ideas, inspire one another, and impact the common good. The Conference is held every four years. In the Congress, there are seven parallel conferences that shows how the values, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit of the global Hindu community find expression in a variety of fields such as economic, education, media, organizational and politics. “It also serves as a platform to address critical issues impacting Hindus worldwide, including human rights, discrimination and cultural assaults,” said Savitha Rao, a member of the Hindu Economic Forum’s Core Committee, Mumbai .
In the WHC, there will be seven parallel conferences that will showcase how the values, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit of the global Hindu community find expression in a variety of spheres, and offer space to deliberate opportunities and challenges facing the Hindu community.
