Uttar Pradesh government has formed a single member Commission to probe into gangster Vikas Dubey case. According to notification issued by the State government, the Commission will be headed by retired Justice Shashi Kant Agarwal and it’s headquarters will be at Kanpur. The Commission will complete its inquiry within the two month period from the date of notification.
State government spokesperson said, the Commission will investigate the incident inflicted by Vikas Dubey and his associates on the night of July 2nd and 3rd, and also probe in depth the July 10th incident in which Vikas Dubey was killed in an encounter with the police.
The Commision will also give recommendations and suggestions that such incidents do not take place in future.
The Uttar Pradesh government has already formed a Special Investigation Team, SIT for investigation of cases related to dreaded criminal Vikas Dube and his associates. This SIT will submit its report before 31st July.
The SIT headed by Additional Chief Secretary Sanjay Bhoosreddy will have two senior police officers ADG Hariram Sharma and DIG J Ravindra Gaur as members.
