Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath has directed all District Magistrates in state to stop those trucks and vehicles who are transporting migrant labourers immediately and seize them after filing case against them.
He has taken cognizance of the accident in Auraiya district in which 24 migrant workers lost their lives and 31 other are injured. These migrants were traveling in a truck and were going from Faridabad to Gorakhpur.
Taking strong action in the incident Chief Minister has ordered for suspension of two SHOs in the case of Auraiya Accident. These are SHO Fatehpur Sikri in Agra and SHO Kosi Kalan in Mathura, both are in charge of border areas.
Along with issuing warning, explanation has been sought from ASPs and SSPs of Agra and Mathura for the auraiya accident.
Explanation has been sought from senior police officers of Agra Zone also.
