Parents of girls protesting for the right to wear the hijab has approached the district police chief seeking action against culprits who leaked the information of girls online, says report.
The parents of the six students handed a written complaint to Udupi Superintendent of Police N Vishnuvardhan yesterday asking him to take action against the miscreants who posted the phone numbers, addresses, and other personal information of the students online.
Parents say that personal details could be used to threaten them and unnecessarily target them. According to reports SP has asked the parents to file the information thread that mentioned the personal details of the students online and has assured strict action against the culprits behind the act.
