Two civilians killed, seven others injured in heavy shelling by Pakistani Army along LOC

Two civilians were killed and seven others injured in heavy shelling by Pakistani Army along Line of Control (LOC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir today. The deceased include a 32-year-old woman.

Defence sources told that at around 2.30 pm, Pakistani Army resorted to heavy mortar shelling at forward posts and villages in Shahpur and Qasba Sectors of Poonch district on the third consecutive day today which left two civilians dead and seven others injured. The injured have been shifted to the hospital for treatment.

Many houses were also damaged in heavy mortar shelling in the area. Indian Army is giving a befitting reply to the unprovoked firing from Pakistan.
