After Jyotiraditya Scindia sent an ultimatum to Congress party high command to make him the head of Madhya Pradesh PCC, reports say that the support for Scindia grows massively even surprising the congress leadership. Scindia camp issues ‘warning’ and threatened to quit if Scindia is not made PCC chief.
The crisis in Madhya Pradesh Congress erupted when the senior leader and former Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia reportedly told the leadership that he will quit the party if not made PCC president. The calamity worsened as the senior leaders continued silence over the demand, however Sciendia, also the youth icon of the party, gathered massive support from the workers.
Earlier there were speculations that after the assembly elections, Kamal Nath would step down as president of the PCC. Even after the pathetic fall in the Lok Sabha elections, Kamal Nath refused to give up his post as PCC president. In is in this context, Scindia sends ultimatum and warns that he will quit if the decision is not ‘favourable’.
In the Lok Sabha elections conducted earlier this year, The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had handed a surprising loss to the Congress party in Madhya Pradesh, the biggest blow being the defeat of Jytiraditya Scindia in his family’s den that the congress has been winning since the independence.
Reports also say that Sindhia is also in talks with the BJP leadership over the issue.
