The Fallen Angel

fallen angel poem by anu pande

Eyes closed, body unfeathered,
Oh! look, a fallen angel with no soul.

Faltering eyelids searching for light,
What wrong did she do in its might?

Life was becoming impossible,
For angel who made everything possible.

Battered and bruised by world,
Fallen, searching for a guardian.

Eyes trying to widen in search of light,
Soul still hovering with all might.

As usual, she smiled, bit broken though,
Glowing with cloud with silver lining through.

For it is the broken who evolve most,
The ones with spirit become spiritual host.
