Terrorism related incidents have shown a considerable decline: DGP J&K

Terrorism related incidents have shown a considerable decline and the number of active terrorists in Kashmir has come down to less than 250. This was disclosed by Director General, J&K Police Dilbagh Singh while briefing media persons in Srinagar today.

The Police Chief said the number of infiltrated terrorists during the last two months is only three, and more than 40 Over Ground Workers (OGWs) involved in either promoting or supporting terror activities have been arrested so far. The terrorists killed by security forces during the first two months of this year is 25, he said.

Referring to the misuse of social media through Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), he cautioned the users that stern action shall be taken against those who indulge in any mischief.
