In West Bengal, strict lockdown began in containment zones of the State from 5 pm today. The State Government has decided to re-impose lockdown for seven days in view of sharp rise of COVID cases in the State.
The lockdown in Containment zones has come into force in all districts of the State.
The Police has started Miking in these areas urging people for strict Compliance of it.
According to the notification issued by the State, Government and Private offices in Containment zones will be closed.
Employees residing in these areas will get exemptions from attending Office both in Public and Private sectors.
Markets, Shops, trading activities, movements of transport, all non-essential services will also be closed during lockdown.
The local administration will arrange supply of essential items to the residents of Containment zones.
The situation will be reviewed after a week to take further course of action.
