India reached out to Nepal for talks recently amid the ongoing border issue but there was no response from the Nepalese side.
Sources said the onus is now on Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and his government to take positive, and concrete steps to create conducive atmosphere for dialogue.
Sources rejected Nepal’s contention that India did not respond to its proposal for talks on boundary issue.
They said India always responded positively on talks with Nepal and reached out recently, just before they passed the amendment bill in lower house.
They said it is clear that new map of Nepal is a tool for political gain as it is neither supported by facts nor evidence.
Sources said release of new map by Nepal is an attempt to politicise boundary issue.
