Beloved master, this moment, my only pain
Is knowing I’ve always been misunderstood.
And the only thing I’ve yearned to gain,
Is the acceptance of being sincerely good.
Child, my friend, you are a benign soul.
Remember, that true benevolence is rare.
You don’t need acceptance to make you whole.
But I do understand your longing for care.
I’m hurt by the ones I held so close.
When I gave my whole, to my dismay
They had become insensitive and morose.
I think I’ve chosen an erroneous way.
The path is right but the yearning wrong,
As true happiness blooms only from within.
Your time for awakening won’t be long
If you liberate from expecting, your only sin.
For, the one who empathizes and deeply feels
The world’s pain, through him mankind heals.
