The Silver Line project spent around Rs 82 lakh on boundary stone laying. Till last February, K-Rail had spent Rs 81.60 lakh on the cost of staff and delivery of stones in each area. This was stated in the reply given by K-Rail to Kochi RTI activist K Govindan Namboodiri.
So far Rs 3.23 crore has been spent on various surveys. The lidar aerial survey for preparation of alignment cost Rs 2.08 crore, Rs 23.75 lakh for traffic and transportation and Rs 8.27 lakh for the topographic survey for accurate landscaping.
The preparation of DPR alone cost Rs 22 crore. However, the Union Railway Ministry had earlier said that the DPR was not complete. An amount of Rs 59.47 lakh was spent to enhance the image of K-Rail. The lawyers were paid Rs 6.11 lakh to defend 12 cases against Silver Line in the High court
