Saudi to resume international flight services; aviation companies receive circular

The flight companies received official order about lifting the ban on the international flight services which was imposed in the wake of COVID-19. The flight companies that conduct service from Saudi airports received the notification from the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).

Earlier, the GACA had issued a circular that the Saudi citizens will be allowed to travel outside and return to the country from March 31 onwards. The flight companies also were warned to take necessary precautions to prevent virus transmission in the country when flight services resume and passengers arrive.

Meanwhile, the Home Ministry asked the citizens not to travel without special permission to Libya, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Iran, Turkey, Armenia, Somalia, Congo, Afghanistan, Venezuela and Russia, where COVID transmission is intense.
