The global financial crisis reulsted from the Russian-Ukraine war is going to prove advantageous for the Gulf nations. According to financial experts, massive job opportunities await Indians in these countries in the coming years.

As part of the sanctions, many European countries facing oil shortages have signed agreements with Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Saudi Arabia on areas of production, distribution and refining of oil and natural resources, said R P Group Chairman Ravi Pillai, while talking to the media after attending the Loka Kerala Sabha. There are job opportunities for at least one lakh people, he said.

Many of the European countries are facing an acute shortage of oil and natural gas. These job opportunities are likely to remain for about 10 to 15 years. Our company alone needs around 40,000 – 50,000 employees. Recruitment will begin soon, Ravi Pillai said.

Refineries and natural gases will be constructed in Abu Dhabi and Qatar respectively. In Saudi Arabia, petrochemical plants will also be constructed in addition to refineries. There are good opportunities for engineers, welders and fitters.

An average of six to eight years is required for constructing these plants. The R P Group recruits mainly from the states of Kerala, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. The selection will be done without collecting money from the recruits, he said. He added that he had urged Kerala to make the most of this opportunity and come forward to train people in various trades.
