With the country in a festive mood as Ayodhya all decked up for the ‘bhumi pujan’ ceremony of a grand Ram Temple, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has said that the Ram Temple at Ayodhya will herald new era of peace, harmony and economic prosperity. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other dignitaries have reached Ayodhya for the grand event.
Referring to the first president of the country Dr Rajendra Prasad’s speech on restoration of Somnath temple, RSS Sah Sarkaryavah Manmohan Vaidya said Ram temple, besides a holy shrine, is a symbol of Bharat’s glorious past, epitome of cultural values and economic prosperity. The then president, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, while speaking on the occasion of Pran Pratishtha of Somnath Temple on 11 May, 1951 had emphasised this, speaking about the importance of the event. He had said that that the ‘Pran Pratishtha” is a beginning and the construction of the Somnath Temple will be deemed complete only when we as a nation acquire those high level of cultural values in our social and national life and we achieve the economic prosperity, we once had.
According to Vaidya, this Mandir will help us to get deeply connected to our cultural roots to prosper economically and expand culturally as a model to guide the humanity how to live together in harmony, peace and prosperity in this ethnic, religious, cultural diverse world.
Prasoon Joshi’s couplets of a poem emphasises the importance of deep rooted connections for prosperity. It says-
“उखड़े उखड़े क्यों हो वृक्ष टूट जाओगे
जितनी गहरी जड़ें तुम्हारी, उतनेही तुम हरियाओगे।”
