Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan stated that the Enforcement Directorate raid at Bineesh Kodiyeri’s house was part of the investigation. He was responding to the question from a journalist on whether he thought there was a political motive behind the raid.
CM said that CPM has made its position clear on the issue.
“The government’s position is that I cannot make any judgments without knowing the facts about the investigation that is being carried out”.
“The investigation agency reached here as part of their investigation. It is not right for anyone to comment on it without knowing about the evidence in their hands. We have laws in our land in case something unlawful has been done. The family will take all the necessary actions in that regard,” he stated.
The Chief Minister also added that the government is not anxious about the CM’s additional Private Secretary being summoned for interrogation. He said it is true that certain people in the state have certain interests. The government does not think there is anything more to it. The agency would have summoned him to gather more information, CM added.
Pinarayi Vijayan also said that he has known CM Raveendran for a long time and that he completely trusts him. He also said that he will not become an accused just because he was summoned for interrogation.
