Police conducted a surprise inspection on a massage center operating illegally under the guise of a beauty parlour in Thodupuzha city, resulting in the arrest of five individuals, including the owner. The inspection was carried out by DYSP Madhubabu, who found that the center was running without the proper license required for massage services.
According to reports, the center was owned by T.K. Santosh, a Kottayam Kanakari native, and was allegedly involved in immoral activities. The inspection revealed that the center was being used for massage services as well as other illicit activities with the knowledge of the owner.
During the inspection, young women from Wayanad and Thiruvananthapuram who worked at the center, a cleaning worker from Alappuzha, and two young men from Muttam who had come for massages were arrested. Police also found evidence suggesting that more young women had been working at the establishment.
Police seized materials used for massage and Rs. 42,000 in cash from the center. The center had been operating for more than six months under the name of Lava Beauty Parlor. The police received a tip-off about the establishment, leading to the investigation and subsequent arrests.
The owner, T.K. Santosh, has been charged with operating a massage center without a proper license and with involvement in immoral activities.
