Police order shoot-at-sight in North-East Delhi

The government has appointed S N Srivastava, IPS, has been posted as Special Commissioner (Law and Order) of NCT Delhi with immediate effect. Curfew and shoot-at-sight orders have been issued in North-East Delhi.

Meanwhile, the police have cleared the protest at Jaffarabad. The police also made announcements in sensitive areas. The police have started identifying areas and trouble makers.

The Delhi Police would launch a crackdown on Islamic radicals who had unleashed violence in parts of the state. Unconfirmed reports suggest that Islamic radicals cut the hand of a Hindu girl in North East Delhi, where they also cut the limps of a temple priest.

A Bajrang Dal activist was killed and his house set on fire by a mob shouting Allaho-Akbar on Tuesday at Brahmapuri. He is identified as Vinod.
