Pakistan, which itself is hurting religious minorities in the country, is now bothered about India’s decision on construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
At a time when each country is battling the coronavirus pandemic, the neighbouring country seems to be restless and trying to incite hatred among people by terming ‘Hindutva’ agenda.
In the statement issued by the Pakistan spokesperson, the commencement of the construction of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya was ‘condemned’, calling the Supreme Court verdict in the matter ‘controversial’.
In the statement, it says,” the RSS-BJP combine in India is busy unabashedly advancing the “Hindutva” agenda. The commencement of construction of a Mandir at the site of the historic Babri Masjid in Ayodhya on 26 May 2020 is another step in this direction and the Government and people of Pakistan condemn it in the strongest terms.”
The statement went on to say that the “controversial” Supreme Court judgement in the Ram Mandir case “shredded the veneer of so-called secularism of India by making clear that the minorities are not safe in India and they have to feat for their lives, beliefs and places of worship”.
