A total of 47,371 COVID patients were discharged after recovering from the virus in the past 24 hours, according to the state health bulletin issued on Thursday.
This is the eleventh consecutive day when more recoveries were reported than new cases across in the state.
With this, total number of recoveries have gone up to 50,26,308 in the state.
Meanwhile 29,911 new COVID-19 cases and 738 deaths were also reported in the last 24 hours. The fresh surge has taken the infections tally to 54,97,448 while the death toll to 85,355 as per the bulletin.
The recovery rate now continues going up and stand at 91.43 per cent due to more recoveries of patients. The fatality rate is 1.55 per cent. The state has 3,83,253 active cases now undergoing treatment, the bulletin added.
