Veteran BJP leader C K Padmanabhan criticized the state leadership of the party following the poll debacle. He stated that it is foolish to think that the strategies applied in North India will work in Kerala too.
The people decided that they want continuity of government here. We have to accept that. Though the second term of government never happens in Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan’s determination and strong stand were accepted by a large number of people in Kerala. This is a an honour for Pinarayi Vijayan, he added.
Kerala is a model state in many matters. The people do not like criticizing the state and belittling its achievements. The BJP workers in the lower stratum are always betrayed. They work hard but get no results, he pointed out.
The state president has never contested from two seats in history. It was an experiment which proved wrong. K Surendran should not have contested from two seats. If the state leadership did not correct its mistakes, the party will never grow in the state, CK Padmanabhan added.
