The Kerala state Congress is all set to change drastically under the new leadership, claims leadership. A new guideline has been introduced for this. Monthly incentives will be given to party cadres. The main instructions are that no personal flex boards should be erected and there should be no rush of leaders on the stage. The guideline also calls for the formation of committees at the district level to resolve disputes. The guideline was presented at the workshop organised for new DCC chiefs.
The guidelines have asked the local leaders to actively involve in the public affairs of their hometown, no one should be excluded from committees due to personal animosity, training should be given to booth-level leaders from time to time, DCC approval is mandatory when leaders are invited to party events, visitors register compulsory at DCC offices and functioning of booth committees be evaluated in every six months.
KPCC chief K Sudhakaran had earlier said that the leadership was trying to turn the Congress into a semi-cadre party. He had also demanded that everyone cooperate when launching a new style for it. The leadership had recently resolved amicably the problems in the party over the appointment of DCC chiefs. Strict disciplinary action was taken against some of the leaders who aired public statements.
